Monticello Fire

A structure fire near the Lewis County Courthouse in Monticello occurred January 23 shortly after 3 p.m. A house was being demolished when the blaze happened and the structure was fully engulfed. A video of the fire, supplied by Tiffany Blickhan who also provided the pictures, can be seen on the Press-News Journal Facebook page. Also pictured is a nearby building that was also damaged. There were no injuries reported. The Monticello Fire Department was assisted by the Canton Fire Department and other emergency services.
