FBLA Leadership Conference

The Highland High School FBLA chapter competed in the District 3 Leadership Conference at Truman State University on February 17. Online testing took place January at Highland and performance events were held the day of the conference. Highland is pleased to announce that they will have many students competing at the FBLA State Leadership Conference in Springfield, MO April 13-15.
These state qualifiers include: Cali Berhorst—1st Graphic Design; Dominic Cottrell—2nd Computer Problem Solving, and 1st UX Design; Trevor Daggs—2nd Insurance & Risk Management; Lane Hinton—2nd UX Design; Alainah Hoffman—2nd Visual Design; Ellie Goehl—1st Graphic Design; Manda Jennings—2nd Word Processing; Eva Logsdon—2nd Intro to Public Speaking; Landon Meyer—5th Public Policy & Advocacy; Remington May—1st Spreadsheet Applications; Kennedy Post—5th Business Communication, 2nd Computer Applications, 1st Graphic Design; Hannah Ritterbusch—2nd Intro to Business Communication; Carter Walton—2nd Supply Chain Management.
Also placing in the top 5 but not advancing include: Cali Berhorst—3rd Word Processing; Ellie Goehl—3rd Job Interview; Addy Abell, Catherine Darnell, Kori Rossmiller—3rd Digital Video Design; Mackenzie Owsley, Chloe Speer—4 h Banking & Financial System; LaMale Miller, Maggie Roberts, Claire Wiskirchen—5th Intro to Social Media Strategies.
Along with our state qualifiers, Highland FBLA will also have members competing in straight to state events including: Community Service Project—Kori Rossmiller, Catherine Darnell, LaMale Miller; Computer Game & Simulation Programming—Carter Walton, Dominic Cottrell; Digital Animation—Lane Hinton, Remington May, Landon Meyer.
