A Guest Artist Reception will be held on Thursday, March 6 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the library, located at 403 Lewis Street in Canton, Missouri. A gallery talk begins at 6:15 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Refreshments will be provided by the Canton Area Arts Council.
Selina Guzman focuses on painting, drawing, and printmaking and plans to become an art educator in an elementary or secondary school. Andrea Altiser practices several forms of visual arts and sculpture. She hopes to find an art teaching position in the NE Missouri area. She also plans on getting a Masters in Art Education to better improve her artistic, and her teaching, abilities. Brandi Beckett most enjoys painting, collage, pottery and crochet, but loves experimenting with new mediums and techniques. She is currently exploring the use of watercolor and colored pencil together. She hopes to continue creating art and becoming a successful artist and teacher. She hopes to inspire students of all ages to follow their dreams, as she has followed hers. She is excited to see what the future holds.
Please join the library and the Canton Community in welcoming these new artists.
