Lois J. Glasgow, 74, of Canton, Mo., died February 27, 2025, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.
Lois was born on July 19, 1950, in Quincy, Ill., to Lewis E. Tate and Janet Schnellbacher Tate. She was married to Gary B. Glasgow on December 14, 1969, in Quincy, Ill. He survives.
Other survivors include her mother, daughter, Christa L. (Joseph) Johnson of Quincy, Ill., sisters, Donna (David) Bower of Ladoga, Ind., Diana (Frank) Sprich of St. Louis, Mo., grandchildren, Ethan Johnson and Ava Johnson both of Quincy, Ill., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her father and son, Richard Tate Glasgow.
Lois worked for several years at the Culver Stockton College Bookstore and then at Town and Country Bank. Her passion for life was evident in her numerous interests. She relished in the simple joy of tending to her flower garden and being outside. Holidays were a special time when she showcased cooking talents, creating wonderful meals that became treasured family traditions. Lois enjoyed traveling and exploring new places, from the festive streets of New Orleans to the beaches of Hawaii and Mexico. She enjoyed watching sports, especially Kansas City Chiefs football.
Her outgoing nature ensured that Lois made friends wherever she went, leaving a legacy of laughter and kindness. She will be profoundly missed but remembered always by all who knew her.
Funeral Services: Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 1 p.m.  at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton, Mo. Pastor David Bower, officiate. Life Celebration visitation held Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers: Joseph Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Frank Sprich III and Delany Hood.
Burial: Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy, Ill.
