Mr. Terry W. Buswell, age 70, of Chapel Hill, Tenn., passed away at his home following an extended illness. Born in Quincy, Ill., Terry was a son of the late Wayne Wright Buswell and Sarah Myrldene Byers Buswell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kevin and Willis Buswell.
Terry was a member of the Tennessee Valley Pioneer Power Club. When living in Missouri, he was a member of the Try Hard Roping Club and the Tri-County Buffalo Rangers Saddle Club. He was also a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Steffenville, Mo., and Triune Baptist Church in Arrington, Tenn. Terry felt his greatest job was being a Grandpa. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Survived by his wife of 49 years, Patty Buswell of Chapel Hill, Tenn.; two daughters, Carol (Bill) Nolen of Thompson’s Station, Tenn., and Teresa (Brad) Dixson of Brentwood, Tenn.; four sisters, Luayne Van Meter of Mo., Shelley Moeller of Fla., Monica Fleer of Mo., and Gisele Standbridge of Tenn.; two brothers, Darrin Buswell of Tenn., and Jarrod Buswell of Calif.; three grandchildren, Augustus Wayne Nolen, Stella Harper Dixson and Miller Wayne Dixson.
Visitation will be held from 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025, followed by a Memorial Service at 3:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Ewing, 21875 MO-6, Ewing Mo.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tennessee Valley Pioneer Power Club, P.O. Box 200, Eagleville, TN 37060 and/or Triune Baptist Church, 8094 Horton Hwy, Arrington, TN 37014.
