DONNA FISH

Donna M. Fish, 69, of Indianapolis died March 30, 2025. She was born October 8, 1955 in Washington, Missouri to William and Verna May (Himmelburg) Woodson. She earned her nursing degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia and then worked as a registered nurse at hospitals and for home health care. She often made special connections with her patients and always provided exceptional care.
Donna was a kind and gentle soul who always put the needs of others first. She was a woman of faith and family. She loved being a wife, mother and grandmother above all else and was known to always go above and beyond the call of duty. Donna loved working with her hands and was accomplished at needlepoint, embroidery and cooking. She relaxed by reading a good book and never passed on an opportunity to support her children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors.
She also gave regularly of herself to her church family at Christ the King Catholic Church. She distributed Holy Communion to the homebound, served on the Pro Life committee and was a familiar face at all church functions.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Patrick Fish; children, Elizabeth (James) Kendall, Nathan Fish, Anna (Jacob) Palcic and Joshua (Anna) Fish; seven grandchildren; mother, Verna May Woodson; siblings, Marleen Schooler, Mark Woodson, Michael Woodson, Deborah Henley, Sharon Schmidt, Karen Woodson, Robert Woodson, Susan Woodson and Judith Grainger. Sister-in-law Sue Ann Gaus and brothers-in law, Mike, Joe, Will and Jon Fish. 
Donna was preceded in death by her father, William Woodson, father and mother-in-law, Freed and Norma Fish, and sister-in-law Mary Kay Fish Kliethermes. 
Visitations were held in Indianapolis and Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial was held April 5, 2025 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union, Missouri followed by interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
