Circuit Court Report

On April 10, 2025, the Honorable Matthew Wilson, Circuit Judge of the Second Judicial Circuit, held court in Lewis County. Several criminal matters were scheduled and the following are cases where a disposition was finalized.
Jeremain Johnson, age 46, of Hannibal, Missouri pled guilty to one count of possession of controlled substance, (methamphetamine) a class D felony. Johnson had previously been arrested in August, 2024, after a search warrant was conducted at the residence of Gerald Lloyd of La Belle, Missouri. Johnson, who was on parole, was present at the time members of the NEMO Drug Task Force, MSHP and Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant for the property. He was found in possession of methamphetamine.
Johnson was sentenced to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, with probation denied.
Mr. Lloyd was sentenced to 8 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, with probation denied.
This investigation was the result of a year’s long investigation conducted by members of the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office, NEMO Drug Task Force and the NOMO Drug Task Force. Prosecutor Chelsea Fellinger represented the state of Missouri.
Tayler D. Burgess, age 28, of Hannibal, Missouri pled guilty to one count of possession of controlled substance, (methamphetamine) a class D felony. Burgess had previously been arrested by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance between Burgess and a female victim in Canton, Missouri. Burgess was located and taken into custody after law enforcement located methamphetamine. The MSHP and Clark County Sheriff’s Department assisted with this investigation.
Burgess was sentenced to 5 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections, with probation denied.
Prosecutor Chelsea Fellinger represented the state of Missouri.
