Weiland is Golden Deeds Award Winner

Janice Weiland of Canton, Missouri was named this year’s Golden Deeds Award winner by the Quincy Service Club. The event was held Friday, May 2nd at the Elks Club in Quincy Ill. Janice works at Two Rivers Regional Council of Public Officials as a Utility Assistance Program Specialist. Janice told Press-News Journal “This was such a humbling experience!!! I thought everyone deserved an award!!! 
Janice has authored 2 children’s books ‘The Chipmunk in the Christmas Tree’ and Joe’s First Day of Soccer Practice’, both available on Amazon. She likes to write songs in her spare time and is active in her church. 
Janice has a unique way of seeing God’s hand at work all around her, in the big as well as in the little details of life. She likes to share these glimpses of God in her writings. You can read weekly thoughts and inspirations by Janice in the Press-News Journal (see page 10).
