DIXON BRENNAN

Dixon Lowell Brennan, 65, died in Rio Rancho, New Mexico on July 11, 2025. Dixon was born on February 13, 1960, son of Lowell Dixon Brennan and Doris Josephine McCollister Brennan. He attended school in Williamstown and Canton, graduating from Canton in 1978. He attended   college in Bettendorf, Iowa, where he studied computer programming. He moved to New Mexico where he worked as a supervisor for Spartan Technology for twenty years then spent seventeen years as a dedicated and valuable member of the maintenance team at Rio Rancho Public Schools.
He worked at all twenty-three schools. He retired earlier this year. Dixon was a charter member of Moose Lodge 2447 in Rio Rancho and belonged to St. Acquinas Parish. Dixon spent most of his adult life in New Mexico, first in Albuquerque then in Rio Rancho. In 1985, Dixon married Lisa Valle of Bettendorf, Iowa. In 2005, he married Roberta Perry Steil in Rio Rancho. His death came just seven days before their 20th wedding anniversary. His loving wife Roberta survives.
Dixon is also survived by seven siblings; Dixie Scelsi (John), Port Charlotte, Fla.; Danny (Nancy), Edina, Mo., Elaine (Laney) (Steve) Miller, Florissant, Mo., Conni, Columbia, Mo.; David, Canton, Mo., Donni, Millersburg, Mo. and Donna (Dean), Millersburg, Mo. Dixon was the sixth of eight children. He also has three stepchildren, Joshua Steil, Caleb Steil and Zack Steil. Dixon also leaves eight nieces and nephews, three great nieces and four great-great nieces and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Growing up on a Missouri farm near Williamstown, Dixon had great love and appreciation for nature and animals which lasted throughout his life. He enjoyed motorcycles and spent many hours helping friends and family with whatever he could do. He was a master welder and made many interesting sculptures along with repairs. He was an avid and longtime fan of racing especially NASCAR and a diehard Kansas City Chiefs fan. He was quick with a laugh or a hug and was deeply loved by family and friends.
Dixon requested no memorial services, and he will rest in peace in Rio Rancho.
