Author M.E. Seegulam at Canton Public Library

September 18, 2025

The Canton Public Library welcomes local author M. E. Seegulam, PhD on Saturday, September 20 at 11:00 AM for the kickoff of his book, "The Philosophy of Schmütz: What a One-Eyed Cat Taught Me About Love, Presence, and Letting Go.”
Inspired by Seegulam's rescue cat, Schmütz, the book blends humor and heart to explore practical ways to live fully, unapologetically, and with less weight from others’ judgments. Light, uplifting, and intentionally short,
"The Philosophy of Schmütz" is a perfect pick for readers who want meaning without heaviness.
"Schmütz taught me that wonder is always within reach" says Seegulam. "You don't need a perfect life to live a beautiful one.”
The event will feature a brief reading, Q&A, and book signing. Books will be available for purchase.
Note: Schmütz will not be in attendance, as this event takes place during her prime nap time.
