Celebrating 100 Years

Leta Gaus celebrated her 100th birthday at the LaGrange Lions Club with an open house hosted by her family. Leta was born January 31, 1926, at home south of Ewing, to Paul and Mae Coleman. She married Homer Gaus in 1948. Homer passed away in 1997.
Leta has eight children, has sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She resided on the Gaus family farm until 2014 when she moved to her daughter’s home. Leta is pictured with her granddaughter Abagail Gaus Gunsauls and the youngest great- grandchild, Josephine Belle Gunsauls born Jan. 20, 2026. Many family members and friends joined Leta for her birthday celebration.
