Blickhan Announces Candidacy

April 29, 2026

Tiffany Blickhan, a veteran first responder with over 30 years of public service experience, has officially announced her candidacy for Lewis County Clerk. Running on a platform of “dependability and accessibility”. Blickhan says her diverse professional background has prepared her to manage the county’s records and elections with high-level accuracy and integrity.
Blickhan’s career is defined by three decades as a licensed EMT and 18 years in the security industry. She also brings seven years of experience in the insurance field; a role she says sharpened her focus on meticulous record-keeping and public trust.
“I’m running for Lewis County Clerk because I believe this office deserves leadership that is both dependable and responsive,” Blickhan said. “My priorities are clear: working fluently with the County Commissioners and other county offices, maintaining transparency for the public, and ensuring our elections remain prepared, accurate, and secure.”
A lifelong servant of the community, Blickhan has been a volunteer firefighter with the La Grange Fire Department for over 20 years. Her leadership experience extends into civic organizations, including her current roles as Unit Secretary for the Canton American Legion Auxiliary and Sergeant at Arms for District 1 American Legion Auxiliary.
Her commitment to mentorship is further reflected in her history as a Scout leader, where she earned the Wood Badge leadership designation and the District Award of Merit.
Tiffany’s commitment to Lewis County is rooted in the family she loves. “Public service has always been a family affair,” Tiffany explained. “Raising a family in La Grange alongside her husband David and seeing our grandchild follow in those footsteps is my daily inspiration. My goal is to make sure our county government works effectively for every neighbor, ensuring we leave behind a legacy of honest, accurate leadership for the next generation.”
Blickhan’s campaign focuses on three core pillars: professional reliability, inter-departmental cooperation, and steadfast election security.
The election is August 4, 2026.
