Brandy Renee Tooey, 50 of Durham, Missouri died July 3, 2026 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
The daughter of Bradley and Diann Durst Smith was born on October 17, 1975 at Spring Valley, Illinois.
She was united in marriage to Joseph Tooey on May 27, 2003 at Hannibal, Missouri.
Brandy liked to bake and watch baking shows, horror films and was a John Wick movie fan.
She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Tooey of Durham, Mo.; three children, Joshua, Kathryn and James Tooey all of Durham, Mo.; four sisters, Angela Martin of Bowling Green, Mo., Mindy Robinson (Matt) of Idaho, Chrisine Bradtke of Chicago, Ill. and Erica Smith of East Peoria, Ill.; a brother, B. J. Smith of Henry, Ill.; father-in-law, Billy Joe Tooey of Mt. Sterling, Ill.; sister-in-law, Janna Tooey of Hannibal, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and mother-in-law, Marvis Tooey.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 3 until 5 p.m. at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
