Positive COVID-19 Case in Lewis County

The Lewis County Health Department has reported the first positive case of COVID-19 in Lewis County.

Health officials stated the individual who is between 80-90 years of age was tested by a private laboratory and is currently receiving treatment in a healthcare facility.

Healthcare and public health are working together to contain the spread of this virus, in a manner to protect the health of the community and the safety of our healthcare providers.

They are communicating with local agencies as well as the Department of Health and Senior Services to maintain current situational awareness on COVID-19
