Canton R-V Greenhouse Open

The Canton Agriculture Education Department Greenhouse will be open to the Public on Thursday, April 27th for Spring Bedding & Vegetable Plant Sales. Canton Greenhouse students have been working hard this semester planting plugs and seeds. Students not only learn about the basic needs of plants and plant health they also learn about the business aspect of running a greenhouse. Students are responsible for helping to plan what will be sold, conduct inventory, inspect plants for health issues, complete daily watering, and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

This class helps students go beyond learning from a textbook and gain hands-on experience working in the plant science industry. The Canton FFA Chapter is excited to offer a wide range of vegetables and bedding plants to the general public. All proceeds from the plant sales will be used to create new learning experiences for the students and help to operate the greenhouse again next year.
