APRIL WOLF

April Denise Wolf, 42, of Canton, M., died October 23, 2023 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill. She was born January 31, 1981 in Memphis, Mo., a daughter of David Wayne Shaw and Brenda June Coons. 

She enjoyed being with her grandkids and kids, and being around family and friends. Going on rides through the country was a favorite pastime. She liked to listen to loud music and enjoyed having a Bush Apple beer with friends.  April liked to give nicknames to family members, participate on Facebook and enjoyed watching the Big Bang Theory and hunting during deer season.  She was a member of Providence Baptist Church, Williamstown, Mo.

Survivors include her children, Ciera (Chris) Spidle, Canton, Chance Wolf and Amber Fugate of Hannibal, Carlie Wolf and Ayden Dunaway of Canton; four grandchildren, Sophia Spidle and Caleb Spidle of Canton, Kamryn and Hudson Wolf of Hannibal, mother Brenda (Mike) Quigley of Canton, father, David (Rosemary) Shaw of Monroe City, Mo.; grandmother Helen Shaw of Monroe City, MO; sisters, Melinda (D.J.) Shepherd of Canton, Sarah (Adam) Speis of St. Louis, MO, Angie (T.J.) Gardner of Macon, two brothers, Jeremy (Jaide) Hultz of Quincy and David Shaw of Macon and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Leroy and Lola Coons and paternal grandfather, Wilford Shaw and a brother, Freddie Shaw.

A celebration of life service was held October 29, 2023 at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Brian Stone officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers:  Chris Spidle, Ayden Dunaway, Jesse Wolf, Mason Shepherd and Gary Shaw. Music: When I Get Where I’m Going, Forever and Dancing in the Sky.

The family suggests memorials be made to Ciera Spidle to help with final expenses.
