Summer Classes Offered At Culver-Stockton
As the academic year comes to a close, Culver-Stockton College invites students of all ages and backgrounds to embark on a transformative educational journey this summer through summer classes. The first summer 5-week session is scheduled for May 28 through June 30, with the second 5-week session running July 8 through August 11.
Offering numerous benefits, summer classes extend far beyond the traditional school year classes. “Enrolling in a variety of summer classes can be a game-changer for students,” stated Dr. Cindy Whiston, C-SC Education Department Chair. “Summer classes provide an excellent opportunity for students to accelerate their learning and get ahead in their studies.” Smaller class sizes and focused instruction are two of the many benefits students will discover. These benefits combined allow for more material to be covered in less time which can lead to success in upcoming academic years.
For college students looking to fulfill degree requirements, or an adult learner seeking to enhance skills flexible summer class schedules are designed to accommodate busy schedules. In addition to in-seat classes, C-SC also offers numerous online classes and programs. “Our new Career Online Resources & Education (CORE) program offers non-credit online career-building programs and skills-building courses,” stated Jay Hoffman, interim dean of graduate and professional studies. “With hundreds of topics from which to choose, the CORE program offers an engaging online career development. All courses are taught by highly qualified instructors, provide discussion opportunities with other learners, and may be completed at the student’s pace.
Faculty and staff of C-SC are committed to the institution’s mission of preparing students of promise for a dynamic world through its experiential curriculum within a supportive learning community founded upon the best values of faith and the human spirit.
