LEE ANNE ROSE

Lee Anne (Tiemann) Rose, 68, of Buffalo, NY, formerly of LaGrange, Mo., died Feb. 22, 2025. 
She was born August 19, 1956, a daughter of Melvin Tiemann and Alice Lee Solter. She spent most of her childhood in LaGrange, Mo and attended local schools. She graduated from St. Paul’s Lutheran High School in Concordia, Mo., in 1974. She trained as a respiratory therapist and later chose a career as costume designer. She worked in theaters in Washington, D.C. and Buffalo, NY.
Lee Anne was very artistic and enjoyed art in every medium. She loved to draw, paint, design and create. Her embroidery skills were exquisite. Lee Anne was a brilliant artist and a loving mother. 
She is survived by her companion, Mario Arrambide; mother, Alice Solter of LaGrange, Mo., former husbands, Harry Rose and John Dorsey, children Diana Rose (Michael Jason), Nathan Rose, Jessica Dorsey, William “Doc” (Ashley) Dorsey and Paul (Imani) Dorsey; her grandchildren, Gabriella (Angel Reyes-Cruz) Cottone and Ryan Rose; sisters, Susan (late Riff) Scholz, Laura Roberts and Melinda “Mindy” Littleton. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.  
She was preceded in death by her fathers, Melvin Tiemann and Marion Solter. Grandparents Roy and Katherine Solter and Henry and Forest Tiemann, and aunts and uncles. 
Private services were held March 1, 2025 in Buffalo, NY.
