Robert L. Gardner, 81 of Williamstown, Missouri died October 22, 2021 at his home in Williamstown.

The son of Goldie Edith Gillespie Gardner was born on August 6, 1940 at Kirksville, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Jean Tompkins on September 24, 1960 at Queen City, Missouri.

Bob was a member of South Wyaconda Baptist Church. He was the best husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. Being an automotive mechanic he could fix or build anything and do it well. He was known for his laughter, never meeting a stranger and would help anyone in need. Bob and Jean were avid RV people and he made everything an adventure. He was a member of the The Good Sam Club and Ridge Riders Trail Club. He also loved farming, horses and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Gardner of Williamstown, Mo.; two sons, Michael Brown of Williamstown, Mo. and Jack Brown of Columbia, Mo.; a granddaughter that he raised, Reachel Brown of Moberly, Mo.; step-grandson, Jerren Algiere-Brown of Columbia, Mo.; great granddaughter, Alexus McDonald of Moberly, Mo.; two great great grandsons, Brylen and Kenan; three sisters, Irene Burtlow of Visalia, Calif., Betty Eitel of Kirksville, Mo. and Martha Chapman of Greentop, Mo.; brother, John Gardner of Kirksville, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother; two children, Tina Garner and Robert Gardner; two granddaughters, Sara and Maria Brown; a sister, Bernice Heton; four brothers, Ray, Ed, Paul and Gene Gardner.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 1:00 PM at South Wyaconda Baptist Church (Ballard) in rural Neeper, Missouri with Rev. Orlie Yoder officiating. Inurnment will be in Zion Hill Cemetery in rural Monticello, Missouri at a later date.
