LOTA LEWIS

Lota Fern Lewis, 89 of Lewistown, Missouri passed away Friday, September 8, 2023 at the Country Aire Retirement Center at Lewistown.

The daughter of Edward William and Eula Avis Newberry Lewis was born on December 14, 1933 at Monticello, Missouri.

She worked at the Snack Shack at Lewistown and was later a physical therapist at Prairie View Rest Home and Country Aire Retirement Center. She was an avid reader and liked to travel and take care of her birds and cats. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son Terry Lewis of Lewistown, Mo.; a niece, Sonja (Joe) Johnson of La Grange, Mo.; a nephew, Brian (Jana) Schnitzer of Lebanon, Mo. and several great nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Betty Lou Lewis, Anna B. Howell and Sandra Sue (Harold) Schnitzer, brother, Bobby Ed Lewis, nephew, Bill Thompson and a brother-in-law, Hubert Thompson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown, Missouri with Rev. Rusty Schultz officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1 PM until the time of services at Arnold’s Funeral Home in Lewistown. Pallbearers: Brian Schnitzer, Bennett Schnitzer, Aaron Johnson, Steve McKenzie, Frank Cottrell and Joshua Kite. Honorary Pallbearer: Donald Hutcherson.

Burial will be in the Lewistown Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Country Aire Retirement Center.
