JUDITH BIXLER
Judith Ann (Judy) Bixler, 89, of Canton, Missouri died February 7, 2024. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Judy was born January 8, 1935 to George and Laura Taylor. She attended Canton High School. She married the love of her life, Wayne (Bix) Bixler on December 4, 1954. They were blessed with two daughters, Paula Jean and Gail Ann.
Judy worked several jobs, but she is most remembered working as a teller at Canton State Bank for 40 years. She also loved the Lord and attended the First Baptist Church in Canton. When she wasn’t able to attend, she enjoyed watching it online. She will also be remembered for her love of flowers and her crazy sense of humor.
Judy is survived by her children Gail Cottrell and husband Frank of Canton, and Paula Bobeen from Troy, Mo. Her grandchild, Jessica VanZant and husband Eric, and two great grandchildren, Hendrix and Alanis from Nashville, TN; a sister, Sandy Franklin from Colorado Springs, CO and a sister and brother-in-law Lulyn and Nick Faraclas. One very special close friend, Velvet Darnell and many other nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister-in-law Ron and Barb Taylor, a brother-in-law, Kenny Franklin and a son-in- law Paul Bobeen.
Funeral services: February 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Canton, Missouri with Rev. Brian Stone officiating. Visitation preceded services. Pallbearers: Adam LaSala, Vance LaSala, Ryder White, Chris Darnell and Rick Martin. Honorary Pallbearers: Jim Heckenkamp and Larry Hoyes.
Burial: Forest Grove Cemetery at Canton.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Canton.
